Turn on Live Captions
- Press Windows logo key+Ctrl+L, or open Settings > Accessibility > Captions and turn on Live captions.
- The first time, Windows downloads language files. Keep the PC online until that finishes.
- Drag the caption window where you can read it. It can sit above other apps.
- Open the caption settings to filter profanity or include the microphone so your own speech is captioned.
Captions are generated on device and can miss words. They are a help, not a transcript you should treat as exact.
